Layering System of Inventory
New, WishlistPublic

Description

With the new experimental patch you can now reorganise the order of your inventory (ie backpack, coat, pants, etc.)

Currently you need to drag and drop those items on the ground and then drag and drop them back onto your character in the order you want them to appear in the inventory screen. While this is a step above not being able to do anything it is still clunky.

I am suggesting that to reorganise your inventory items you simply need to drag and drop them either above or below an item within your inventory screen.

For example if you want your backpack to be in the top position you grab your backpack within the inventory screen and drag it to the top position above whatever item that currently resides in that position but below the items which are non inventory items (ie gloves, glasses, helmet, etc)

This would be a layering system similar in concept to many CAD, GIS and or drawing software programs such as Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD or ArcGis which im sure you are already familiar with.

This type of system would allow players to quickly reorganise their inventory when acquiring items.

This is likely an idea already in the mix.

I like this idea, but if this specific task is not feasible, how about a mini-hotbar on the inventory window?
You could slide the backpack to slot 1, vest to slot 2, and so on.
