I came across an infected and could not lose it so turned to fight, I must have broken its leg or legs (even though I was aiming at its head) as it dropped to the ground and started crawling towards me. I ran on toward a house leaving the infected quite far away still crawling towards me, as I entered the house the infected immediately slid in behind me, impossible for it to have crawled that distance in an instant.
