I tried to go as deep as possible in the water at Kamyshovo and waited for about 3min... Iam not drowning! I can remember the the same problem occurs to me at the rest of the westcoast!

I tried it at the south coast between Cherno and Electro and at the east coast. I waited 5min in both areas... My Character is not running out of air!

can confirm, tried to drown myself today in various types of water bodies: ponds, ocean and deep enough swamp/bog between Balota and Komarovo. Characters have been either naked or in fresh spawn gear when trying to drown in the ocean/bog. No broken legs or any other condition apart from being hungry as a freshie.
