Memory Bug - Weird Sounds within the PC/Graphic Card
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The game crashes randomly (rare) and every time it chrashes OR EVERYTIME I exit it an Application Error occours. "The instruction at 0x70520300 refernce memory at 0x000000000. The memory could not be read. Clock on OK to terminate the program."

My first though was my PC is crashed, however I tried playering other games, run benchmarks etc. - no error.

  • updated/edited
  • edited cause it seems unrelated: seems like unlimited frames are causing coil noise now. This started with the experemintal and it was not revertable for me. It occurs also in 0.55 now. Thanks DayZ :-(

Additional Information

Maybe unrelated: When the game starts and hits the load screen - or whenever in the game the the computer starts making a weird fieeep noise coming from the GPU. It's like an overloading sound.

Fix is to limit framerates to a appropriate level (not above 1000fps)

It seems like its coil noise from the GPU. It started from the expermintel and also happens now for .55.

It seems my GPU started making this noise now - by limiting the frames it works.
Maybe consider limiting frames under X to get rid of this problem.

However the memory bug occurs everytime still when closing the game.

Hello malokas.
In case you are using any launch parameters, please remove them as they may cause various issues within the game. If the issue still persists after that, please run the game with -dologs parameter and attempt to reproduce the crash. Once the game crashes, attach contents of your C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\DayZ to this ticket. In case the files cannot be uploaded due to size, use some kind of cloud site from which we can access the files. Upon obtaining the contents it is advised to remove the -dologs parameter again as it is advised to use it only for obtaining crashlogs from recurring issues.
Regards,
Geez

Yea, I removed the options. Seemed to work.

Now however I get those errors more often with the new .56/.57 experimentel Ill open a new bug.
