Screen gets blurry when I get hit by something

Description

Almost every time I get hit for example a zombie, my screen gets blurry. This gets fixed when I go to video settings. Then my screen is clear and sharp again.

I suffered from this on a machine with crossfired AMD R9 390s, visiting the video settings would refocus the render, previous to that it happened on crossfired 290s

Recently I've been playing on a machine with SLI'd NVidia Titans and it's never occurred (though there are generally no zombie hits right now)
