Launch the game through steam, BE does its thing and 3 seconds later receive a pop up message saying: The unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occurred in the application at location (0x70e246bb). I've tried uninstall and reinstall. Certain launch parameters through steam, -maxMem=2047 -malloc=system. But the game refuses to launch. Help?

We suggest you to remove all of the launch parameters as they cause issues such as this. Also please try the fixes posted in here http://www.battleye.com/support/faq/ and report back whether any of these fixes has resolved the issue. In case the issue still persists please attach your dxdiag to this ticket.
