Authentication timeout wiped character

Description

I logged on to server "DAYZ WA 2-18" (I.P. 108.61.234.133.2303)and played for less than one minute before receiving "Authentication timeout" error. I was in the northwest area near Sinistok, driving a v3s at the time. On logging back in, I received only 30 second wait (bad news) had lost all gear and was a new spawn on the coast.

Similar occurence happened while logging out of a different server: received "no message received for X seconds", as if server was resetting - I logged out and saw that the server had not reset, but on logging back in I was fresh spawned on the coast.

Hello Bytor,

Thank you for sending us your feedback regarding this issue. Unfortunately, this problem is a known issue that has previously been reported. The devs are aware of the problem related to character save loss and they'll be working on fixing it.

In order to minimize the risk of losing your gear after a server restart, it is recommended that you wait until a couple of minutes have passed by according to the time on the restarted server before reconnecting with your character.
