Hello again HaseDesTodes,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. Does upgrading to Experimental, restarting Steam, and then reverting back to Stable help in this case?
Regards,
JStewart
after updating to exp, and reverting to stable, try to join uk server, same problem.
ps: tried to delete all files (steamlib and appdata) and reinstall. didn't help.
So, game launches as normal, try to join first (with good ping) server, loading screen where players are displayed and crashes to desktop with __cur_mp.ebo missing.
ps: first time havea crash on DayZ, even with the previous patch didn't have one.
as you should be able to see in the dayz.rpt file, the only startup parameter i use is -dologs
as for changing version:
had the game on exp, but after the hotfix it seemed to be the same version as stable, so i joined a server that used to work for me, but now i get this crash
i can have a look what happens now when i try it
but this can't be the solution for this problem, just a workaround
Don't worry, there have been no claims that this is a solution. If the -dologs launch option removes the crash issue, then I'll close the ticket as a duplicate since this has already been filed.
once again changing to exp and back again fixed it, so error is within those 1.4mb, maybe some wrong bit ("corrupted data") at some point causes this specific error
Something does seem to go wrong when you try to update via the Steam client. I'll close this ticket as well then.
@freedom4all347: Please feel free to submit a seperate ticket in case your problem is not solved by removing the -dologs launch parameter.
