I dont have screen from the error, but fps droped to 0 and then game frozze and there was an error. will try to chatch it again.

I am also receiving an error, also trying to take a screen of it

@Gharan which graphic card do you have mate?

Eugen says, disable launch options and verify game cache

€dit:

The hint above to delete the start-options fixed the problem! Thanks man!

Same Problem at me and some friends:

Joining the Server - loading several Textures - FPS-drop;

looks like a Texture-loading loop or something like this, the textures keep blurry, like beiing not loaded compleately or beiing far away.

We dont get any errors and are able to close the game normally. But after the drop the game is no more playable.

Our Graphiccards:
AMD R9 280X
NVIDIA GTX770
NVIDIA GTX780

OS: WIN8.1 64bit

I have no launch options set.

GeForce GTX 660
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-core processor
16 GB ram
1920x1080

Also make sure Windows does not set some kind of affinity for dayz.exe and update your graphics driver. Had the same thing (4690K / R9 290X / 8GB) first time i played .54, after removing all of the launch option it worked again.

(I also disabled Steam in-game overlay, might be worth the try)

This error has nothing to do with our hardware.

This problem exists since 0.53. before everything was very good.

Paper26 your problem might be a different one then. Check your Resource Monitor for extra information when the drop happens (type resmon in start). I think yours might be because of some kind of i/o problem.

Disabling all launch options fixed it for me.

disabling launch options worked for me

here are mine:
-skipintro -nosplash -noPause -noborder -cpuCount=4 -maxMem=8192 -maxVRAM=2048 -world=*empty

"Disabling all launch options fixed it for me."

Same here!

No it's not another problem unfortunalety.

In 0.53 everything was perfekt. and after this 1.4MB-Patch everything got worse.

Yep disabling launch options worked, at least for now :]

Will try the launch options! Thanks to this post and those who replied with the fixes!

-cpuCount=4 -exThreads-4 -maxMem=7168 -maxVram=4096 -nosplash -noPause

heres the launch options I had enabled as well

I've had launch options disabled for weeks... and the .54 patch just wrecked the rendering.

Hello Gharan and thank you for the report.
Since removing the launch parameters has fixed the issue for you, i am closing the ticket. As for the low poly issue, we are aware of it (#0017013) and it has been scheduled for a fix.

Geez
