Fresh install DayZ after reinstalling my OS on a new PC.
After launch I tried to enter "Configure" menu in Main Menu, and got only one windows with no options to get out, except alt+f4.
Where can one type the name of the character now? Cannot find the bar anywhere.
Make fresh install of DayZ (without DayZ.cfg in My Documents)
Launch the game.
Hit the configure button in main menu.
Voila, you cannot even configure the game to normal resolution.

okay, I will install some capture software and film you a clip)
I don't use any launch parameters, and everything worked fine after copypasting someones dayz.cfg I found on the Internet.The guy uploaded it specially for such cases.
I think main reason for messing up the menu would be fresh install of Dayz, and the game seems to fail to adjust the menus and new UI design to detected resolution for the first time.
After fresh install game starts at some low resolution (sorry didnt notice what res exactly), main menu looks ok, then when you click "Configure" it gives you a window where you can adjust brightness and gamma i think, in the top-left part of the screen.No "Cancel" or "Apply" buttons are visible, ESC doesn't work, the only way to get out of this menu is to Alt+F4.
I also noticed that if you try pressing arrow keys the selection on bars goes somewhere behind the screen borders, and then you can actually blind-switch the menus to adjust resolution and such.Apply button still not visible, cancel still not visible.
By now the bug is gone, cuz as I said before I copypasted someone's dayz.cfg to be able to configure the game.But if you wish, I can delete dayz.cfg and try to capture the bug on video tomorrow.
