I got exact the same error, also: exception "unknown software exception" (0xc0000005) ... 0x00e35f27, I also got Windows Vista (64 bit), and at me it crashes after 5 min. just back to desktop

My graphic card is the old GeForce GTX 285 (Nvidia drivers updated)

Note Update:
it seems it works now, atm. But I don't know why.
That's what I did:

  • "enabled" VSync in DayZ grafic configuration
  • changed my "German" language to "English" in DayZ.cfg
  • did the command: "bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff" (run cmd as Administrator) (undone/default: "bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOn")
  • and edited something in regedit, but I don't think it is important

I am having the exact same problem. My game also randomly crashes giving me that error message.

On top of that my game also often crashes without giving any error message whatsoever as i have described in this report 0021640.

I hope there will be a solution soon because it makes playing the game a pain in the ass.

I have this problem too, also running on vista 64bit.

Randomly crashing with error 0xc0000005 at location 0x00e35f27.

Also randomly crashes to desktop without any error message.

I got it: put VSync on "enabled" in your options - this will remove the 0xc0000005 error,

but it will still crash, but less and without an error message

I play with VSync ON and still get the 0xc0000005 at location 0x00e35f27 error.

Hello bigdaddymcfatsacks and thank you for the report.
I suggest you to try deleting contents of C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye. Please report back if that fixed the issue and if not, attach your crash dumps to the ticket again (since the last ones appear to be empty).
Regards,
Geez

Ok I will give that a try.

Happened again almost instantly. Computer makes a single beep, game freezes and the have to ALT-Tab out and then the error message listed above is diplayed and have click terminate program to close Dayz. I wonder if that is why you arent getting a crash dump. anyway here is the dump from the crash from 2 seconds ago. Happened about 1 minute into playing.

Hello bigdaddymcfatsacks.
The issue has been fixed internally and should be fixed on Steam soon.
