Hi omura89 and sorry to hear about your trouble.
This seems to be a problem with your graphics card rather than the game itself.
Please try reinstalling the video drivers and disabling any options that your card/drivers might be using which are not necessary.

I am on latest drivers for nvidia.

I tried a fix others have posted for windows 10 and it has not crashed in the same way since, but I have had a ton of other issues with the game such as crashing explorer.exe and such.

but the game is atleast playable 2+ hours vs 20 minutes.

The fix involved opening services.msc and giving steam client service its own administrative user.

Yup, that is what I was going to suggest next.
Happy it "works" now.
However, this indeed seems to be a Win10 issue. Since that OS is not fully supported by DayZ yet, we cannot guarantee full functionality. However, we will be looking into this in the future to try and prevent these problems - please be patient.
