Steps To Reproduce
make fireplace kit using stick and paper, or stick and wood.
new instructions for building campfire are
use 5 sticks
use 3 logs
these are to be put in hand, then applied to fireplace kit using action menu.
action menu does not appear

action menu does appear when wood is placed inside fireplace kit (not using action menu) through inventory screen.
action menu does not appear when fireplace kit has nothing in its single inventory slot.

OK. finally got a fireplace to light, but only by having 3 logs in inventory AND 5 sticks. When adding the 5 sticks to the fireplace kit, an inventory action menu showed with 'add to fireplace kit'.
I have not seen a scroll action menu on an unlit fireplace kit that contains anything other than 'take fireplace kit' and 'detatch sticks' when approaching fireplace kit.
Once fireplace kit is upgraded to high slot count, everything behaves as expected. Tripod works, 8 stone stove works, I did not have a pot/water to test cooking, but ruining food and items works.

is it SUPPOSED to ruin food (raw meat) when you put it in the fireplace? I built the new fireplace and put in 6 pieces of meat and all of them were ruined. anyone know about the new fireplace stuff?

@bucket: i dont get any scroll menu options either, except "take fireplace kit". as soon as i add 5 sticks to the kit i cannot pick up the fireplace anymore.
lighting the fire works perfectly as soon as i have the fireplace kit with 5 sticks and 1 log attached to it. no need for additional sticks or logs in my inventory.
@clown: everything beeing put into the 15 slots of the lit fireplace seems to get ruined very quickly. no heating occures. adding a cooking pot with the meat inside (fish is bugged atm) will work but keep a close eye on the content of the pot as it gets cooked very quickly.
