It takes way too long to actively warm up/actively cool down character
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Lately on some bad weather servers I started to get cold a lot and it took over half an hour to warm up again. Even with 4 campfires around me it takes wayyyyy to long to warm up and get rid of a shaking ironsight.

Same goes for cooling down from overheating. It took me over 15 minutes to cool down from overheating even though I was completely submerged in a pond, rolling in water, lieing in water, crouching through water etc. - Tried everything except swimming because afraid to lose gear that way. Even when I took my characters clothes off it took too long. At this time of year the water should be freezing and going into a pond should cool a person down instantly. Even if the water was warm like in the Caribbean it should be refreshing right away. People don't have time to waste 15-30 minutes for this sh#t, especially game breaking when running in a group.

  1. The quickest way to reheat yourself is to start a fire and put a couple cans in it. When they are red hot put them in your coat and pants.
  1. Do not play a survival game if you do not want to spend time dealing with surviving. Temperature is very important when in a survival situation and needs to be part of a survival game.

The cooling down seems strange, you should have "rapidly cooled off" after getting soaked.

warming up for 45 minutes on 4 fireplaces is too much time spent "surviving".

30 seconds in rain = 45min to 1 1/2 hours in a house with a fireplace.

I found the rain really well, as only the view was bad and the sound was harder to handset or locate through the sound of rain.
With the temperatures you can see how servers have the most disconnects and with the fewest connects by rain.
This is where the fun goes past/lost for the reality simulation

you must be doing something wrong. it has never taken me 45 mins to warm up. maybe, being generous, it takes 15 mins with 1 fireplace. sticks vs. logs have a diff temp it seems

I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not, but when I'm cold I start a fire and there are no messages that I am getting any warmer. If I wait around long enough it will eventually go away and then after the cold status is gone it says I am starting to warm up, but not before.
