I accept that this is only my experience and that I may just be very unlucky, but ever since the Derringer was introduced, I have never been able to use it since the ammunition spawns are so limited across the map.

If it is a civilian gun, does it not make sense to either have the ammunition added to civilian building loot tables, or for the caliber of the Derringer to be changed so that it can be used? It would not break realism as "A derringer is generally the smallest usable handgun of a given caliber."

Yesterday was the first time I found any ammunition for the gun at all since introduction, and that was because I found a 1911 clip in an office building.

It seems like the pistol is almost useless at the moment as you will almost always find a better 0.45 ACP pistol either before or as you find the bullets.
