Hi justchris and sorry to hear about your trouble.
I am going to need you to go to C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\, delete the contents of the folder, reproduce the crash again and then attach newly generated content of the AppData folder to this ticket in a .rar. Also please provide your DxDiag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DxDiag).
Since you have already tried the most common workarounds, we'll have to take a look at the files.
Thank you,
Andy
I went to C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\ and deleted it and tryed to launch nothing was generated, so I'm going to reinstall and attach that with it and then I will delete it again and try launching again.
Hi Chris,
every time you launch the game, an .RPT file should be created - and when the game crashes, .bidmp and .mdmp should appear as well.
Please try reproducing the crash and then attaching the files.
Thank you,
Andy
I have steam on my (D:) not (C:) because my c is my SS D: is my hard drive. where would I go on that to find it because user is not on my D:. Is there a file that steam would store it in? I found it on my C: and did what you said and then when to launch and nothing has been generated.
This is what was in the file before I deleted it. I will delete it again and see if any thing generates.
The first problem my game was having it just said "preparing to launch Dayz.."
My friend had me changed the launch options to - window. Now is try's then CTD. so I don't know if that is a little bit of information that helps but we have try'ed a lot of things to get it to work.
This is a friend of justchris. I have fixed the issue. I deleted the folder you suggested as well as turned off compatability mode for the game and administrator mode. I also removed the launch options that were "-h 1920 -w 1080". The game launched perfectly fine. Thank you for your assistance.
