Sometimes (I haven't been able to guage why), my weapon stays raised and if I put the weapon away, my fists come up and I'm unable to lower them. No amount of key mashing or weapon switching will change it. Then, after a varying length of time, and for no clear reason, it goes back to normal and I can control it. The longest stretch of time where I was unable to lower my weapon/fists has been 20 minutes.

I have the space bar setup to raise and lower my weapon. Not toggle, but when the button is pressed, it raises; when it's released, it lowers.

This is quite peculiar, would it be possible to try with another keyboard? Also please try disabling any macros you might be using.
Do you play on a multi-monitor setup? Do you Alt+Tab a lot when playing?

Sorry for not getting back to this... took a break from the game. I may have fixed it by unassigning and re-assigning the keys. I'll report back if it comes up again.

I had the same thing. I do alt-tab and use multiple monitors.

I'm still getting this. I play only on a single monitor. I'm not using any macros and it's not a particular key on my keyboard. This happens with whatever key I assign to raise the weapon.
What usually remedies it, oddly enough, is I go into the Options menu and usually, by the time I get to the keyboard control assignments, I lower my fists. This doesn't happen all the time, so I'm not sure what's causing it and it is not easy to reproduce. Sometimes, it happens randomly. My hands weren't raised and suddenly, they are raised and I can't lower therm. It's gonna get me killed one of these days - haha!
