i played all day today and yesterday in experimental hoping to do some bug testing and instead what i found was an unsurviable enviroment, im not sure if the loot spawning is messed up or something but even after a server restart, every town i go to has nothing but gas stove burners, lamps, hammers and wrenches. In the 10-14 hours i play i only found 3 peices of food, meaning i died like every 20-30 mins due to starvation. even when i found v3s truck and ventured away from spawn areas i always died of starvation before finding anything useful. once i found a crossbow and then died of starvation at that was the highlight of the day.

if you want people to test your trucks and shit give them a way to survive more than 30mins. i tried picking apples and died because you deplete food faster than you can gather it. in stable i have no problem finding food and living a long nice life, but in exp, its not even enjoyable, its just stupid.

HELLO.
I'm not a dev just a random browser of this website.
You did state you've been playing on experimental servers.
The fact that this new update saw a much higher rate of players opting into experimental, combined with the fact that the experimental servers are limited in number in comparison to standard servers. You've been experiencing what I call 3rd-4th generation looting.
This means that so many people have been cleaning out the few servers to stay alive that this problem is completely unavoidable. It is a realistic aspect to survival in this type of world.
Now that you are aware of the problem, you can take steps to adapt and overcome it. Simply traveling to less popular locations may be all you need to do, remember the two points in the start of my note.
More players + less servers = scarce supplies
Go off track of the usual high gain routes most players are known to take. Hit smaller towns and the less popular locations. Your mind is your only weapon.
Hi Mizzle,
as yurblackdad stated (thanks yurblackdad!), this is quite natural shortly after an Exp update. I have checked and the lootspawns are normal on Experimental right now.
