I guess its a feature. I mean in real life you can xo pretty much anything in a car

YOu should then be able to access your inventory to drink/eat.
Or thats how its gonna be and this is the only way to do it atm.

But why shouldn´t you be able to eat and/or drink in a car?

In my opinion you should be able to do this, but the way he described it sounds like a bug.

This was indeed a bug (the action option was only available if you were holding an item before boarding the vehicle) and it has been fixed internally - should be fixed on Steam soon.
