When I join through Friends On Steam, I can't move my character ingame, though if I join through Change Server -> Friends it works perfectly fine.

Hi sensity,
sadly, we were not able to reproduce the issue and everything seems to be configured correctly on our end. Please try reinstalling DayZ and Steam.
We have however discovered some other issues with this functionality, hopefully once those are fixed, yours might go away as well.
