My friend and I placed a number Rabbit Snares in and around a field. They were placed for around 10 mins when the server restarted. Our items on the ground, fireplace and meat were still in place after the restart, but the snares had disappeared.

I tried this again later on a different server and the same thing happened, server restart deletes them.
