Happens everytime i do it, happens by accident sometimes. Painting the weapons then loading the unpainted one with ammo the ammo disappears in the painted version. (this only happens when the weapon is in your hands when you paint it.) As your character puts down the weapon on the ground it will later show you have no ammo.
