OS UI kept hanging after exit game
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

For some reason after exiting the game, the UI of OS (incl. formerly opened windows) is not responding to mouse events - cannot open Start with mouse, cannot even sign out, only by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and select signout.
This feels like something hooked to the UI and preventing things. Strange to me that a game is probably not hooking anything aroud, but what if some underlying stuff e.g. the anticheat system(!) do something like this, or (who knows) maybe somehow an antivirus interference or such is producing this behavior.
Pretty bad thing :(

Ok i have some news:
-It does not do anything with my antivirus
-It never happens while Alt-Tab-ing out from the game any time at all
-It happens after exited from game. Workaround i found: Ctrl-Alt-Del and select Task Manager, issue is gone!

The issue feels like i described before, or even if there would be an invisible (transparent) open window before the whole OS UI and mouseclicks are consumed, highlighting UI elements on mouse hover are only visible at a few places, i.e. Steam buttons, Desktop icons are highlighting but Windows Start and taskbar not, until the above Ctrl-Alt-Del->TaskMan triggered.

Hi therealsummoner,
I have consulted this and it seems that the issue is on your end and there is nothing for us to do.
I will keep this in mind and see what can be done in the future but for now, please stick to using the workaround you mentioned above.
Thank you for understanding,
Andy
