Servers freeze

Description

Since the last hotfix our server now freezes ! It appears online but we can't join and the number of players stays the same, I then have to restart it manually. It hasn't restarted once on its own since the hotfix.

You can see this problem happening to some other servers like this one which have players online for more than 23 hours :

Hello Geekea,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Is persistence enabled on your server?

Regards,

JStewart

I have had this issue as well, along with all sorts of other server crashes.

Did you contact your GSP and ask if they can see what would cause your server to not restart on it's own as well as freeze?

I did, and I reinstalled many times, The freezes alsways came back.
Fragnet's answer was : "At the moment, this is a bug introduced with the 1.79 update . It should be fixed by the next update. " and "It seems to be touching servers quite randomly, we can only assume what the cause would be as we are not in the coding loop, we just know that BI is aware of the crashing issues."

Very good, I realize that you might have contacted your GSP before last weeks hotfix, but right now there's not much I can do I'm afraid. However, I'll keep your ticket open so we'll be able to see what the next update brings along.

I've contacted my GSP on the 25th of september, after last weeks hotfix.
And they answered me the same day.
The freezes actually started with the hotfix, there was no freeze before the hotfix... the hotfix kind of made it worse as I prefered when the server was restarting on its own every 45 minutes rather than freezing and not restarting.

Thanks for clearing that up Geekea. I'll merge your ticket with issue #17183 since the issues seem to be the same. Thanks for providing all your feedback on the issue!
