I would like to suggest adding SVT40 rifle to the game.
It's a semi-atomatic rifle chambered in 7.62x54R. So same as mosin nagant.
It also came in a sniper version so you could have simmilar attachments as for mosin?

i generally like the idea of a many differnt weapons, but they should be chosen carefully and a 7.62x51 semiautomatic sniper rifle sounds quite powerfull, so either has to be very rare or should have serious disadvantages

well you should chamber the mosin in its original caliber 7.62x54 Russian
The only 308Win mosins that you can find are surplus rifles that have been re-barrelled btw ;)
You can limit it to long range scope only?
so no PSU or iron sights. That makes it hard to use in close combat?
but on the other hand you have automatic M4s with 30rnd clip which is best for close combat.
so maybe limit SVT40 to scopes only, no iron sights.
