The process of drying clothes is supposed to force the character into an animation. Currently, it is possible to immediately dry your clothes while simply holding an item in your hands.

Steps To Reproduce
Get wet from rain or pond. Put an item in your hands (I tried with the fireman's axe). Right click your clothes from the character screen and select "Dry Clothes". The item in your hands will not drop and it will immediately dry your clothes.

This also works while sprinting.
Clothes are fully dried for me after wringing them out 3 times while running, no animations.
Its actually quite nice, though i know this is not the intended design. Upvoted.
