Description

Everytime i start to play the game, i get to play about 10 minutes and next it crashes. Every single time. The game itself is really fun to play untill it crashes

We're going to need a bit more information if we are to narrow down the problem.

If it totally random or is there anything that you have been doing during that time?

Is it a crash to desktop?

I do enter a lot of buildings searching for loot and sometimes the building where i'm in, completly vanishes, so i can just walk on to the street. But i think most of my crashes happen when i'm running, then the game freezes and tries to pull back trough but just gets back on my steam account again having to use my task manager to get my PC working again.
Yes this is a crash to desktop.

Please try to reproduce this issue on the latest experimental build.

When reporting a crash you need to upload a dxdiag report and the files from
C:/Users/<Name>/AppData/Local/DayZ/

Pack the files into a .rar file - if the RAR is smaller than 5000KB, you can attach it here. If it's larger, please upload it to a file sharing website and link it here.

Sorry to ask, but what's DxDiag file? I don't know mutch about this..

  1. From the desktop click: Start > Run...
  2. In the 'Open' text field of the Run window that appears type “dxdiag” without the quotes. Press OK.
  3. Another window should appear titled DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Near the bottom of the window click on “Save All Information…” A popup should appear with a progress bar, this may take a few minutes.
  4. After it completes a dialog should appear asking you where to save the file.
  5. Save the file and upload it here

Okay, these files are exactly what we need. We will look into this issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile please keep testing the game and check if the game still crashes after a new update.

Got an update today, the game doesn't crash to desktop during the game anymore. Only when i exit the game or sometimes when i try to join a server. Also when i play about 10 min other problems start to appear: like my character can't put away his axe anymore and several min later he can't use it anymore. The buildings in the game still keep disappearing..

This ticket is only related to the crashing so if you are experiencing any other problems, just report it as a new issue. Only please remember to use search form before posting to prevent posting a duplicate :)

is this still an issue? If the problem persists, please reproduce the issue again and then upload the new contents of AppData folder.
