Dear developer team,
I'll try to make this short, so you don't get tired reading.
Just to sum it up, here is the current issue: Server hopping
- People reach a location with a high loot chance
- They start going on empty servers and pick up all the loot
Results:
==> People get geared up too fast and without any real effort.
==> People are likely to spawn near you if you're the one looting.
==> People won't move around as much as they would, if they had to
get to another place for better loot. (Faster camping -> less encounters -> less realism)
The system:
- If a player disconnects from a server and then rejoins at any time, he will spawn in the same location.
Just like it is right now
- If a player disconnects from a server and then joins a different server, he will have to wait 5 minutes and then be spawned in a random location.
The 5 minute timer is necessary to keep people from abusing the random spawn to get around the map faster.
A random spawn shouldn't be a problem for people, as it only makes the game more of an adventure (you have to orientate yourself)
- If someone is NEAR you, you can send them an invite to a "friendship agreement". When it is being accepted and you switch servers together, you will then be spawned together at a random location.
"Friends" could abuse this to get together without having to find each other.
//Thats why they need to require both, the "friendship agreement" and a close distance to each other when switching servers.
I hope I could make clear that this system is coming at pretty much no costs for the game as it works, and will only improve it bigtime.
[Please let me know in the notes if you see any problems with the system, and I'll make up my mind about it ;)]
Greetings
