Load the game with the RHS Escalation pack (may also occur with other mods but I have only checked this one). Attempt to a load a mission. The error on the attached image will be produced every time which cannot be closed.
*VA Update* To replicate in Virtual Arsenal, load any mod with the game that attempts to include custom font(s) or has undefined variables/file locations then attempt to open Virtual Arsenal.
