Please see this video of fighting infected with supposedly 'high damage' melee weapons, they take MUCH longer to take down now and it feels silly to me and too drastic of a change:

It also seems that infected now only take 50% damage when you hit them in the head with a melee weapon, doesn't this defeat the purpose of having a head hitbox to aim for when it is now barely any more effective to hit them there than in the rest of the body?
Making the number of hits to take down infected "more consistent" by making their head require as many hits as their body makes no sense, of course the head should be a soft spot to target.
