Solution: Increase the brightness of nights (refer to Left 4 Dead nights) for more accommodating brightness levels and/or make the day/night cycle closer to 1hr long like in most successful games. If the devs prefer nights the nights can last 1hr while day might last 20 minutes.
A shorter day/night cycle will actually add a more interesting gameplay experience to the game in that players would need to plan for day/night changes. Currently players do not have to plan for day/night changes, they are simply enduring an unnecessarily forced and unpopular gameplay condition because of a failed game concept. Why allow a public beta if players are forced to adhere to Dean Hall's personal preferences? Please change the day/night cycle for the sake of the title and future success of your dev studio.
