Hello,
Currently I love a lot of things about Reforger, but there are also a lot of gripes, some of which I would imagine the community might very well be voicing right now.
Namely:
1. The fact that not only is there a "limit" of AI that can be placed down in gamemaster, but also that there are no modules, making it severely limited compared to Arma 3's offering.
2. The new Zeus UI is in some ways intuitive, but in most not, it was a lot faster to place down and look for items in the old Arma 3 Zeus UI.
3. We cannot do Player Hosted servers, also known as Listen Servers, which allowed us to host and play on the same machine effectivly, which makes it harder for friends and communities to get together and play.
4. The AI are a bit all over the place when it comes to functionality, in some cases they work admirably, while others I have seen them five feet from each other and take 5 seconds to take down and opposing soldier.
there are possibly others as I play more, but I can see some solutions:
1. Remove the limit of AI via a server toggle (if the reason is that it would not run well on consoles) and have the server/mission have a warning that it is "not optimised for consoles", and of course add more modules and funtionality, like for instance setting side relations and such.
2. Either change the UI to make it resemble Arma 3's Zeus UI, or add it as an option for those who get used and prefer Reforger's new UI.
3. I cannot imagine any reason this cannot be added, not everyone has access to a separate machine to effectively host and also play on said server, and we should not be forced to rent servers, and pay more money to do what we were able to do for free beforehand.
4. Look at and fine tune the AI
I might edit this feedback item more as I play and watch more, and see what (if anything) the devs do in regards to these topics.
Now I get this is early access, which is why I am not acting like this is the end of the world and saying that this game is doomed, I want this game to succeed, and some may argue that everything in this post is "just my opinion" or "things are just fine", bit I am pretty sure that the game having a mixed rating is not a good start.
EDIT 1: as a correction to Item 1, a removal of the budget off all kinds as an option is what I intended to say as the solution, as stated by JymCzech.
