One will not only be able to actually get out, because no animation interrupted/restarted each time heli/jet in question receives a specific damage per second, but AI will also stop shooting, because you're still inside and thus destroying air assets, since you'll actually be able to leave them. AI will kill you anyway, once you're out on foot...
