I have the following specs
Asus P9X79 Deluxe
Intel i7 3930K
32GB Ram
2x580GTX in SLi
Game doesn't seem to utilize multiple cores for AI when hosting a server. When running missions with Heavy AI (evolution, domination style games) the game starts very smooth 60~70fps and above. However once it starts to get AI heavy (enemies) this seems to fall away to 15~25fps. Very bad Desync and then people's pings start going up and everything seems to lag.
The most disturbing thing in addition is this drop is fps is transfered to all connected players on the server.
This isn't a graphical issue (otherwise it would be that bad upon launch). When viewing CPU usage, even if threads and cores are setup correctly (with 6 or 12 cores) and threads at 7. There is still only one 'core' being shown to have high usage, the others are not being utilized.
It doesn't feel like the game's AI is multithreaded or multi-core aware at all.
Turning off HTT doesn't make any difference.
Graphics card usage is not very high during any part of this. But the lack of multi-core usage is a bit of a joke lads.
Hoping this gets sorted before beta/release as it's a bit sily that a hexcore can't run the AI because it doesn't know the other cores are there :(
