The castle of Saladin Saladin ordered the construction of this castle on Mount Mokattam, but he did not finish it in his life, It was completed by Sultan Kamil who lived in it and took it as the residence of the king until the reign of Muhammad Ali, the castle contains four doors, namely Bab al-Mokattam, Bab al-Hadid, the middle door and the gate of the castle and also contains four palaces and of course Mohamed Ali Mosque.
