Playing with two other players, all of us running towards Komarovo on the hill just to the Southwest of the city. Nothing occured, I did not fall or anything of the sort, I was not doing anything in my inventory, my game simply crashed. I didn't think much of it, however my friends observed that my character had died. Upon trying to rejoin the server or any other, I was a fresh spawn. They also observed that within a minute, the dead body of my former character disappeared, without them even getting the chance to recover any of my gear.

Steps To Reproduce
Unfortunately there is no real way for me to reproduce this event. My friends have attempted to walk through the same spot and there is no similar result, and I have a freshly spawned character that is nowhere near the location.
Additional Information
I cannot think of anything special that I was doing at the time of the crash. I was not in my inventory or menu, nor taking any kind of action. I was simply running. My game has crashed previously, but it has never caused the death of my character. I'm not sure what can be done, but as it is truly depressing to lose a character with over 20 hours of game time logged and even enough to make me consider not playing further, I figured it would be best to report the issue.

I think I am going to wait for few months for these kind of bugs to be fixed.
We shall see if anything has changed then and has the new engine been added.

It causes my game to freeze and go unresponsive if I go to server list. Also it makes my internet connection to go super-slow.
I have died when I sawed off a shotgun and climbed up a ladder
