i don't know if its a bug.
I was now over 50 Server after my binoculars was deleted out of my backpack with the patch 0.45 and 10 people are unable to find a binoculars anywhere.
Is there no spawn point for this binoculars now?
Btw: 4 slots is too much for a binoculars. i i would carry a binoculars which is big as a helmet or a small protector case... never.
Tomorrow is patch day to 0.46 and i hope there is a binoculars anywhere.

I think that if you carried binoculars in your backpack but didn't have the 3 extra empty slots (in a 2x2 pattern) when you first loaded up after the inventory slot expansion of the binoculars, you probably automatically dropped them to the ground and unaware moved on.
It happened to me. And I didn't notice it before seeing the white silhuette in my action bar where my binoculars used to be. I have no idea why they changed them to 2x2, seems way excessive for something that realistically wouldn't take any inventory slots, since they would be carried in a strap.
