Problem with video settings
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi.
I updated Dayz standalone on my laptop tonight to try out the latest release and I now have a problem with the screen resolution being blurred ... I assume it is at a lower resolution as I am no longer able to read ANY text on the screen.

Also, my mouse no longer works.

I have tried deleting local content and reloading but problem remains.

Help please.

Regards
Andrew

Try ingame to change video>> user interface>> resolution to normal and change your rendering resolution in video to 100% after it.

If youre not able to change resolutions ingame, go to documents\dayz\dayz.cfg

in the dayz.cfg change:
Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;
and
Render_W=1920;
Render_H=1080;

to your normal resolution. in my case both is 1920 to 1080

Hi,

At the main menu, click Configure -> Video -> User Interface and use the Resolution drop down list to select your resolution.

Make sure the Aspect Ratio option matches the aspect ratio of your resolution.

Close the config settings completely and return to the main menu.

Then open Config again, click Video and then select your resolution from the Rendering Resolution drop down list.

This should return your game back to normal resolution.

Open dayz.cfg file and type "your real resolution" in there like ; for example your desktop resolution 1920X1080

change older one like that... delete 640 and 480 and type your resolution...
Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;

then open the game and change your resolution to 1920X1080 and change interface size to normal and change aspect ratio then you'll solve your problem...

Hello ApMadog,

I'll close the issue since it seems that your resolution problem was fixed. In case you encounter any further problems, please feel free to open up a new issue in the Feedback Tracker.
