i really find it strange you cant give your self a iv,
the idea of dayz is to be realistic is it not ?
because i know being a medical student myself its completely possible in administer an iv line on your self with no help. and it takes little to know medical training.
( maybe add a medical journal in as a book that u also require to be able to do it your self )

i understand it would me life a bit easier in dayz but could even that out with the addition of a few items required for the process.

another thing i think should be required for it is an object such as an iv stand either crafted and placed down like the gas cooker is or just as a fixed object in the medical clinics or just hospitals that player must go to. combined with the ( book ) and an iv the stand would allow them to give them self an iv.
