Unfortunately, we don't have an inventory tracker, so it wouldn't be possible to see what caused a possible save loss on your previous character. However, if you encounter the same issue on your current character, please feel free to open up a new issue in the feedback tracker before killing him off, and I'll try to look into it. In the end it might just be a "disconnect" between the game server and the character database.
