Resolution problems after update
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

A problem with the video-configuration after hitting default cannot go above 1283x960 max. This happened on 3 different computers I own after the update on Wednesday.

I edited the Dayz config file and while I was able to manual set it to 1920x1080 some of the text (ie Menu selections, quick load slots ) are oversized.

Open dayz.cfg file and type your real resolution in there like ;

change older one like that... delete 640 and 480 and type your resolution...
Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;

then open the game and change your resolution to 1920X1080 and change interface size to normal and you'll solve your problem...

Hello TheKisstro,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. To begin with, please try the following:

  1. Start DayZ and enter the Main Menu.
  2. Click the button labeled "Configure".
  3. Click the button labeled "Video".
  4. Click the button labeled "User Interface".
  5. Select a high resolution from the dropdown menu.
  6. Select a proper aspect ratio.

After performing these steps, you should be able to select the correct ingame resolution.

Since the button labels might not be legible in your game due to the current User Interface resolution, I have attached a screenshot (UI.jpg) that shows which buttons to click.

Regards,

JStewart
