I have found that when i drink cans of soda outside my inventory by right clicking them and saying drink, i will then get a ghost empty inventory slot that i cannot get rid of. The only way i have found to resolve the issue is to log out and then back in, in which case the can of soda will appear, and you can then choose to drink or drop again.

Hi Cosmical.
Can you solve this by taking off the clothes(bag, shorts or etc.) and putting it back on? Or can it be solved by relog only?

Only by relogging. As Cosmical said, drinking/eating anything by pressing Drink from outside the inventory, it will create a duplicate of the item in the inventory. The duplicate is invisible and renders an inventory slot useless until relogging, where the duped item then appears.
