Hello, I wanted reset the video-configuration of dayz. (resolution, brightness...)
I aktivated the "default" button and any parameter became to factory-default.
the problem is, that video rendering resolution now can be set to 1283*960 max.
(see Screenshot)
My normal screen-resolution is standard Full-HD 1920x1080.

Hello! Same thing happend to me. I tried to solve the problem to change the parameters in the cfg file what is in the document folder(DayZ.cfg), but nothing happened. My desktop settings in 1920x1200. In DayZ i cant go above the mentioned resolution. My specs as follows:
Core I5 2500K, Gigabyte R9-290, 8gb Ram, Catalyst 14.4

after activated "default button" the resolution of User-Interface is set to 640x480.
But i can change the resolution to 1920x1080
(of User-Interface - Picture "DayZ 2014-06-17 16-29-16-75.png" )
But after changing the User-Interface Resolution you can change the Video-resolution back to 1920x1080

GER Ghost it still is kinda buddy with that way tho'.
Try changing serv and this makes me go from 16/9 to 4/3 again. And unable to retrieve 16/9 cause it would restart game and restart just bullshit again to 600*400.
Yup I've got the same problem and I don't know what to do.
I reinstalled the game and deleted all the files in the " my documents folder"
I adapted the dayz.cfg file to 1920x1080 but in the game it's 640 x ...
Also the width is odd.
It says it is 4:3 but it looks like 16:9
Don't know what's causing it but this happened to me and my friend and this is how we fixed it:
Video>user interface. Set resolution you want to use. After it updates and screen returns, hit esc. Then video tab again, and set rendering resolution to match what you set in user interface.
Open dayz.cfg file and type your real resolution in there like ;
change older one like that... delete 640 and 480 and type your resolution...
Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;
then open the game and change your resolution to 1920X1080 and change interface size to normal and change aspect ratio then you'll solve your problem...
