I think this is only me this is happening to because my other friends are not getting this but could i please be helped somehow i have looked everywhere for a solution to this tried lots of things and i cant get anything to work

Sorry to hear about your trouble. In case you still experience this problem, just add a note with your Steam ID url, and I'll have a look into it. Example: "http://steamcommunity.com/id/xxxxxxxxxx/"

Also, please let me know if you experience the problem on both Regular/Hardcore servers.

If you prefer to send your Steam ID url in a private message, you can click the "Make Private" button to the left of your message after you click the button labeled "Add Note".

Thanks for sending in your information. It doesn't look like the problem is caused by any of your characters, but try the following in Steam:

1. Start Steam and right click on DayZ in your game library (make sure that the game is not running).
2. Select the tab labeled "General" and make sure that "-skipIntro" is not part of your launch options.
3. Select the tab labeled "Local Files".
4. Click on the button labeled "Verify integrity of game cache...".
5. Start DayZ once the process is complete.

sorry this did not work and the problem is still occurring :(

Is it perhaps because you have a VAC ban for cheating 1 day ago - is this ban for DayZ?

i was not aware i had a VAC ban?
are they permentent and can i request an unban

i am really quite sad by this i was quite looking forward to playing the new 0.45 update with my friends but now i cannot unless i get unbanned which i think is not going to happen ;(

please ;( i hope that you can forgive me for accepting hacked ammo from my friend ;( i want to play dayz so much that i would trade my friends name so you could ban him if you unbanned me even though it was not him that spawned the bullets in it started as a hacked m4 mag from some random hacker my pal kill he took it then we duped it a couple of times it came to my friend and he removed the ammo from the clip and it is not hacked bullets.

In the future if i ever get VAC banned it would be nice to be told that i have been VAC banned

VAC bans are issued by Valve so, unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with this issue.
