Dropping the piece of clothing during animation will not delete the item being used. Allowing it to be used again.

Steps To Reproduce
Right click eat food.
When animation with hand starts you need to drop the item of clothing that the food is in.
The animation will finish and the food will be eaten but the food will not despawn from the world allowing it to be used over again.

Unfortunately, this problem regarding items not being consumed when dropping the consumable on the ground during the eating/drinking animation is a known issue that has previously been reported.
