When you press F, you can set your weapon to semi or full auto, everything works properly there but it isn't indicated anywhere, so to check what mode you are in you have to shoot, wasting bullets and revealing your position.

Pressing "T" toggles between semi and auto, which isn't mentioned in the original note. Showing the status alongside the zero range would be quite helpful.
Possible to also toggle to "S" (safe) in addition to semi and auto which could be the attribute to enable hand-to-hand combat with bayonet.
