Steps To Reproduce
If you place an empty first aid kit into your hands, and have a full inventory, then relog. You are able to force non-medical items into the first aid kit by pressing F to pick up the item. It will then go into the empty slot in the first aid kit.

I have not tried this on 0.44 on stable as of yet, I almost forgot to turn this in.
