Melee against zombies has been nearly impossible since the last update. It takes 10+ hits to kill a zombie now. I have tried different weapons and some work better than others, but weapons such as the splitting ax which was previously a two hit kill now takes much more swings to kill a single zombie. In fact, I was using a badly damaged splitting ax and the only way to kill the three zombies that were attacking me was to hit them directly in the head. I hit it at least 15 times on various parts of the body, but could not kill them except with a direct head shot. I hope things will be changed to the previous status of melee combat.
