For some reason, blood just doesn't appear on experimental for me and some others I've asked about it. I hit a zombie and no blood appears, and no blood can be seen on myself or other players. The blood is visible in stable mode.

I can see blood on the current stable branch (0.43.116251) but when I switch to experimental (0.44.123800 and the new experimental branch) it can no longer be seen.
