Opening doors should have an associated sound effect so if the door is not in the sight of the player, one can still be aware of the presence of another entity.

An example of a situation where it would be very useful is in the case of being trapped inside a house. You can be upstairs watching the windows and only come down if you hear the noise of a door opening.
